Heneral Luna is a 2015 Filipino historical biopic film depicting General Antonio Luna's leadership of the Philippine Revolutionary Army during the Philippine-American War. It opens with the beginning of hostilities with the American colonizers, and ends with the assassination of Luna on June 5, 1899 - a period in which Luna served as Supreme Chief of the Army under the First Philippine Republic.
Directed by Jerrold Tarog and produced by Artikulo Uno Productions, the film received critical acclaim from critics and audiences alike, praising its cinematography, writing, acting and plot. The film has been selected as the Philippine entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 88th Academy Awards.
When watching it I hear and read those curses they throwing to each other. They are fighting because President Aguinaldo is giving his trust to the American because they assure him that they will not going to attack the Filipinos. That day then Heneral Luna decide to fight with the Americans with his all troops. Many of his are suffering from death and Heneral Luna want everything to be end. So that when he attack the Americans with his horse he was hit by a gun but luckily one of his troops Colonel Francisco "Paco" Roman (Joem Bascon) saved him from death and Heneral Luna want to kill his self and shoot it with a gun but Paco stop him because they still need a Heneral to stand by them.
Later Luna is summoned by telegram to the President headquarters in Cabanatuan. Although his officer are suspicious, Luna rides to Cabanatuan bringing only Roman and Rusca with him. Luna discovered that Aguinaldo had already left and only Buencamino remains in the office , as they exchange hated words a single shot is fired outside. But in the end, Heneral Luna was still killed, he was hit by an bolo and the man who is killed Heneral Luna was also a filipino. And that's how Heneral Luna was ended his life.
