Turn Left, Turn Right is a 2003 joint Hong Kong-Singaporean romance film, filmed in Taipei, Taiwan. Produced and directed by Johnnie To and Wai Ka-Fai, the film stars Takeshi Kaneshiroand Gigi Leung. The story is based on the illustrated book A Chance of Sunshine by Taiwanese author Jimmy Liao, who makes a cameo appearance with his wife and daughter in the film. It is also the first Chinese-languageAsian film ever from produced and distributed by Warner Bros.
The original graphic novel was first published in 1999. The characters in the novel were not given names, both characters were only refereed to as "him" and "her". Chinese title of the book translates to "Turn Left, Turn Right", A Chance of Sunshine is the original English title of the book, on the newer published editions the English title is shown as "Turn Left, Turn Right". The book consists of a series of detailed illustrated images, with a small amount of text in poetry style. The film has managed to include every single image in the book with a high level of accuracy, although some are fleeting.
This story believes that destiny really do the job just to meet the two people again in right time. This movie will think of us that we can find our soulmates at the other building or room were we exactly at. This two people didn't know that they are a neighbors and don't bother to look at each other building because there focus is in the paper were there numbers wrote to each other. And when the day come, the doctor at the hospital who is in love with the girl became her without her knowing and a delivery girl from a fast food chain who is also in love with the boy and became his girlfriend, because of that the two person they love don't want to see each other they came up on a plan not to let them see each other for them to have the two people. But destiny are really good so that he cross the paths of the two (doctor and delivery girl) and became one but the another problem is they want them to get tired in finding those two each other and they want them to get hurt. But in the end the two person gave what their past love need which is the phone number of the two. Days came they keep on calling each other but they don't know that Its them they are talking. Then one night came the two run out of the house with the opposite directions but they didn't met each other's path. And another night came which is their leaving the place, suddenly an earthquake came so that it turns that their walls that connects to each others room suddenly destroyed seconds later they see each other and the boy hug the girl because he miss her so much. See? You will just see your soulmate through your neighbor. Try to watch it guys! Great movie.
