The play entitled Ang tatay mong kalbo was played also in other country, US. The first time I watch this play at first I can't understand what the characters want to tell to us. The characters played by Mr. and Mrs. Santos, Maria, Hepe and Mr. and Mrs. Reyes. Mrs. Santos kicks the play off by recounting
all the things that she and her husband have eaten that evening and Mr. Santos
just reading a newspaper while Mrs. Santos is talking. Also, like her husband Mrs. Santos
meaningless repetitive life can be seen as representing the meaningless
repetitiveness of the lives of all of humanity. And they also act as the owner
of the house who should be that Mr. and Mrs. Reyes. The story entitled it as “Ang Tatay mong Kalbo
is because “A Tragedy of Language” Ionesco says, "one of the reasons why Ang Tatay mong Kalbo received
this title is that no prima donna [soprano], with or without hair, appears in
the play. The play is purposefully full of all kinds of nonsensical things. I
don’t even get it why Ionesco entitled it, it doesn’t connect the story but me
and the audience was well entertained. Those characters who act in this play was so good because they memorize the lines in a month? Maybe, but still they are so good. Everyone was so laughing because of they're funny lines. I hope there is another play for this because this play entertained people very well.
